By June 22, the U.S. intervened militarily under the operation name "Midnight Hammer". Dozens of American F-22s and B-2 bombers launched from Gulf bases and struck multiple Iranian nuclear facilities, including the underground Fordow and Natanz plants. American officials declared the missions a success, but Iran disputed the damage, vowing revenge.
