On June 23, Trump announced a ceasefire agreement via social media and later at a press conference, claiming both sides agreed to halt strikes. However, less than 12 hours later, reports emerged of continued rocket fire from Iranian militias in Iraq and Israeli retaliatory strikes in Tehran.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry denied signing any formal ceasefire and emphasized they expected Israel to halt operations by 4:00 a.m. Tehran time—or face continued resistance.
